Abstract

In this millennial era, various technologies have really advanced, have developed rapidly. Moreover, the demand for community needs is very much. To meet the needs of the community, fiber optic technology has become the answer of broadband network telecommunications companies. Delivery speed using fiber media can reach 100 Mbps. Therefore, networks using optical fiber are starting to be many among telecommunications people. However, optical fiber itself is very sensitive to interference and damage because the material is made of pure glass. Therefore it is necessary for security and security. Disruptions that arise on the customer side are changes in the Kemenkumham internet network in the IDC building (Internet Data Center). This interference handling includes checking the received power or input power, checking the interference point using the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), and using an optical power meter. Then check when the KP is -50.00 dBm of red and see with Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and optical power meter. In conclusion the attenuation obtained is still above -30.00, the good wage is -20.00 dB. Keywords: Optical Fiber, LOSS ,, OTDR.
