Abstract
The field of telecommunications is now growing rapidly. People demands are also increasing in line with the development of telecommunications itself. To meet the needs of the fiber technology community has become the answer of the broadband network telecommunications companies. Transmission transmission speed using fiber media can reach 100 Mbps. Therefore the network using fiber began to be widely used. But fiber optic itself is very susceptible to disturbance and damage because the material is made of pure glass. Therefore, handling of disturbances in accordance with field procedures is required. Disturbance that appears on the customer side is the occurrence of LOS on ONT. The handling of this disturbance includes checking of receiving power or power input, checking of noise points using Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), and connecting cables using Fusion Splicer. The value of the input power during interference obtained when the street vendors of -34.22 dBm. The attenuation value involved in optical cable connection is 0.03 dB. The conclusion is the attenuation is good because it is still below 0.1 dB and the bigger the bending angle the smaller the power it receives.
