Abstract

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is a very common standards used on computer networks or the internet. Standardization of the use of the internet protocol addressing on the network protocol of the internet. There are two types of IPv4 Internet protocol address that is 32 bits long and 128 bit long IPv6 capable of accommodating a total of 2128 addresses. At the moment, most of the devices that are connected to a computer network or the internet using IPv4. The problems that emerged after the use of IPv4 allocation of IPv4 address exhaustion is so that the need for migration from IPv4 to IPv6. The process of migrating from IPv4 to IPv6 will take quite a long time (gradually), this happens because of the need for an upgrade on the overall infrastructure of the internet. Transition methods play a role in order for the migration from IPv4 to IPv6 can do. Tunelling is one method used in the transition process of the migration of IPv4 to IPv6. In addition to the needs of the IP address, internet users need internet access with great quality and fast. Internet with a method of packet forwarding is very commonly used. One method of packet forwarding is widely used is the MPLS (MultiProtocol Label Switching). Based on the described problems, this study analyzes on the method 6to4 tunneling transition combined with the MPLS network with testing the streaming video service to know the parameters of Quality of Service (QoS). Testing on this research analyzes the QoS parameters including delay, jitter, throughput and packet loss. The best results for the parameters obtained by throughput amounted to 5,581 Kbps, to delay parameter of 1,956 ms, jitter of parameters required for 3,124 ms and the packet loss parameters obtained for a value of 0%.
