Abstract

The number of internet users increases, so the need for IP addresses is also increasing. While the rest of the number of IPv4 addresses according to Internet Assigned Number Authority (IANA) is depleting. Since the remaining amount of depleting and IPv4 internet users increasing then it needs the latest version of IP can anticipate the remaining amount of IPv4 at this time. IPv6 is an addressing can give a solution related to the limitations of IPv4. In order for network devices that are still using IPV4 can relate to network devices that are using IPV6 then it needs translation method. In this study aims to test performance in IPv4 to IPv6 migration using one of the methods of translation method SIIT (Stateless IP/ICMP Translation). Performance testing method of translation of SIIT uses a client-server scenario, and to service used file sharing and video streaming. It can be seen from the results of the parameters of the throughput, packet loss, and delay showed a good performasi of both services based on standard TIPHON was used in this study.
