Abstract

In mobile communication, customers have a high level of mobility so there is a possibility that customers move from one cell to another when a conversation is taking place. To guarantee that the conversation will continue to be connected, a handover facility is needed. The handover process can run well, but the quality of the handover service quality can also be less good. This study discusses the performance of the LTE QoS handover in South Purwokerto. The parameters to be analyzed are throughput, rejected, RSL and SINR using the minimum RSRP calculation method. Based on the results of calculations that have been done, with the minimum RSRP calculation method get a minimum RSRP value of -105.49 dBm then applied using an Atoll software with attention to the area (coverage) and capacity (capacity). At the minimum RSRP calculation results of -105.49 dBm with individual cells the threshold of 2.5 dBm produces the lowest rejects, which is equal to 10.4 (1.2%) users resulting in 504.63 Mbps throughput in the -91.88 dBm RSL range and SINR 2.06 dB. Very high rejected results were generated in individual cells 3 dBm threshold of 13.13 (1.5%) users with a throughput value of 508.43 Mbps in the RSL range of -77.29 dBm and SINR of 1.07 dB. Low or high levels of rejected can be influenced by the individual cell threshold and the RSL. Keywords: Handover, MS, RSRP, Throughput.
