Abstract

Diabetes is one of the most dangerous diseases that can even cause death. Diabetes can attack all ages, generally attacking patients who do not care about a healthy diet. The choice of food is very difficult because it requires experts who understand diet for diabetes so it is necessary to help programs to facilitate and provide alternative solutions for diabetics to get healthy and balanced food.The purpose of this system is to help determine the diet for diabetics. This research uses dynamic programming algorithm to determine the menu food recommendations to be consumed, which is divided into 3 categories, namely breakfast, lunch and dinner consisting of rice, vegetables, side dishes and fruit. The steps in implementing it are calculating the ideal body weight, then dividing the number of calories per day and the last determining the food menu that will be recommended. The results of the study were food recommendations in the form of breakfast meals consisting of steamed purple sweet potatoes, cassava leaves, yellow spices, and pear fruit. For lunch it consists of white rice, lodeh vegetables, pepes tofu, and melon.
