Abstract
Thecontentofnoiseinthephonocardiogram(PCG)signalisamajorproblemin theanalysisof heartconditions thatgenerallyoccurinthe recordingprocess. The developmentofamethodofeliminatingnoise(denoising)isthegoaloftheresearchthat hasbeenconducted.Observationofsystemperformanceisdoneusingtheadditionof AdditiveWhiteGaussianNoise(AWGN)noise,calculatingtheestimatednoiselevel, threshold,denoisingfortheDiscreteWaveletTransformation(DWT)methodandthe DiscreteHilbertFilter(DHF)methodbyconvolutionofevenandoddDHF.Theresults obtainedusingtheDWTmethodwithoutBandPassFilter(BPF)produceanaverage valueofSignalNoisetoRatio(SNR)of13.90dBandMeanSquareError(MSE)of 0.01%.DWTresultswithBPFproduceanaverageSNRof12.89dBandMSEof0.30%. DHFresultswithoutBPFproduceanaverageSNRof16.54dBandMSEof1.55%.The resultsofDHFwithBPFproduceanaverageSNRvalueof17.30dBandMSEof1.51%. The results obtained show that the denoising process using Wavelet Transform transformsisabletoprovideagooddenominatingPhonocardiogramsignal,compared tousingaDiscreteHilbertFilter.
