Abstract

Data communication cannot be done if between topologies stand on 2 different routing protocol networks. Difficulties occur in sending data due to differences in the characteristics of the routing protocol. Because of that redistribution process is needed to connect between several routing protocols. This design also refers to research that has been done before, namely research by I Gede Juliantara Putra with the research title "Comparative Analysis of OSPF Routing on MPLS Networks and Without MPLS Using GNS3" which tests how the influence of the application MPLS network as data packet forwarding in selecting data packet paths / routes by implementing a network without MPLS using OSPF routing. This study will analyze the performance of the redistribution method by comparing the OSPF and RIPv2 routing protocols. Redistribution here uses four alternatives, namely the MPLS network, without MPLS, the back-up path uses MPLS, and without MPLS. The parameters used are packet loss, throughput, and delay. The purpose of comparing the redistribution method with MPLS networks and without MPLS is to find out the performance of OSPF and RIPv2 Redistribution MPLS and Redistribution routing without MPLS. This research will use testing with video call services using the SSuite FaceCom Portal application. Testing in the OSPF-RIPv2 routing protocol network conditions with the redistribution method in the condition without MPLS produces 3744.87 Kbps, in conditions using MPLS produces 3303.74 Kbps, in the condition of the back-up path without MPLS produces 3579.08 Kbps, and the back-up path using MPLS produces 3366.00 Kbps . Testing in the OSPF-RIPv2 routing protocol network conditions with the redistribution method in conditions without MPLS produces 2.65 ms, in conditions using MPLS produces 2.95 ms, in the back-up path condition without MPLS produces 2.68 ms, and the back-up path using MPLS produces 2.92 ms . Shows that each condition experiences a different average packet loss. Testing in the OSPF-RIPv2 routing protocol network conditions with the redistribution method in conditions without MPLS produces 0.73%, in conditions using MPLS produces 0.76%, in the back-up path condition without MPLS produces 0.76%, and back-up path using MPLS produces 0.73% .
