Abstract
Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology (ITTP) located in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia is an information technology-based university that focuses on the digital field. ITTP has several buildings including 1 DC Building, 1 IOT Building, 1 TT Building and 1 Rectorate Building, 2 Canteens, 1 Industrial Lab, 3 parking area. However, the large number of ITTP buildings has limited the information media in an ITTP building, the information service system at ITTP is in the form of posts guarded by officers but officers do not always guard the post, because officers at certain times patrol the campus building area. So it is often difficult for first-time visitors to the ITTP building to find a room location and a route to get to the room location. In this study the author uses the Greedy Algorithm, the reason for choosing the Greedy Algorithm is that this method can find the shortest route and can directly execute the route that he thinks is the shortest and directly make a path without having to loop all the paths. The results of the research conducted resulted in a room search guide application that can be used by visitors. The results of room route testing were carried out 10 time and functional black box testing resulted in functional successfully used. Keywords: Greedy Algorithm, Location, IT Users Telkom Purwokerto
