Abstract

ABSTRACT The large number of mobile users in Indonesia has made a high demand for cellphone production. On the official website of Kominfo, Indonesia is a giant of digital technology, Indonesia's population of 250 million makes Indonesia one of the locations of a large technology trade practice. Samsung is one of the brands of mobile phones in Indonesia. According to data from International Data Corporation (IDC) in 2018, Samsung ranked first in the market share in Indonesia, while in Indonesia there were only 67 official service centers from Samsung. Like other electronic items, cellphones are also often damaged. The damage was not spared from the same type of mobile phone brands, even Samsung. The thing that often happens is damage to the hardware and software of the handphone. Therefore, with the creation of this expert system, it is expected to be able to help ordinary people or those in their area that have no Samsung service center in detecting damage to Samsung mobile phones. This expert system was built using a combination of Nearest Neighbor algorithm and Case Based Reasoning method, where the data used is the result data from interviews directly to one of the technicians of Samsung service center Purwokerto. Case Based Reasoning is a method that reuses old case information in new cases. The information used is an old case with the highest similarity value, where the similarity value is obtained by using the Nearest Neighbor algorithm. The final results of this study are obtained by the value of system accuracy of 90% taken from 30 trial data. This shows that the method can be used in expert systems to detect damage to Samsung mobile phones properly. Keywords : Case Based Reasoning , Handphone. Nearest Neighbor, Samsung.
