Abstract

ABSTRACT In this research, the quality of LTE is measured by using the drive test method to retrieve the initial data. The area that is reviewed in this research is in Cimanggis area, Depok because the area is experiencing bad coverage where the area belongs to the Sub urban area. To analyse the results of the test drive using Map Info, then to simulate using Atoll in doing simulation of its optimization planning. To maximize the coverage of areas that can be covered on LTE technology, the optimization method in this study uses two methods that are done annually in each method. The methods used are antenna Tilting and the addition of Carrier Aggregation. The antenna Tilting method is done on the first optimization and on the second optimization using physical antenna such as optimization on azimuth, and mechanical Tilting antenna and Carrier Aggregation to increase the quality of bandwidth. Performation in Existing condition increased after optimization process. Coverage for Existing parameters of Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) 4.296 Km2, Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) 3.134 Km2, and actual bandwidth Throughput measured at 4.325 Km2 while optimization has increased in each The parameters are RSRP 5.058 Km2, SINR 4.131 Km2, and Throughput 5.061 Km2. The increment range on the optimization carried out by 31.812% for SINR, improved signal quality of RSRP 17.737%, and improved Throughput signal quality 16.278%. Based on the parameters reviewed in this study can approach target coverage of 4 km2, indicating that the process of optimization done successfully overcome the problem of bad coverage experienced in the case study of this final task. Keywords: LTE, Bad Coverage, RSRP, SINR, Tilting, Carrier Aggregation
