Abstract

In Indonesia micronutrient deficiencies or nutritional deficiencies become an important health problem and an emergency in the community, especially in infants, caused by unconsciousness and lack of public knowledge. Both the limited number of experts and the high costs incurred for consultation become one of the causes in question. In this research, an Android-based expert system was made to diagnose nutritional diseases in infants using the certainty factor method. The age limit for toddlers in this study ranges from 1 to 5 years. This system works by diagnosing based on the symptoms of the disease known by the user, then doing calculations based on the certainty factor value of each. The certainty factor suggested for overcoming the problem in the diagnosis expert system. Based on the results of the black box test, shows all the components that are shown the expected outputs and in accordance with their functionality and the test results with a nutritionist get an accuracy value of 92%, so that this system can be accepted as suitable for use .
