Abstract

Field Work Practices that carried out at PT. Solusi 247 Yogyakarta is created a Handwriting recognition project with deep learning. The project is given because the difficulty of companies in indexing and content to receive photos or scanning images containing handwriting. The purpose of this project is to create a handwriting recognition system that can be read by a computer, so that it can make it easier to read handwriting. To get the data which is needed in the processing of this project, the author uses several methods such as interviews, observations, literature, studies, and documentation. In the course of making this project, there are several parts that is image processing, data collection, calculating accuracy, and making the interface with web service using REST API. The author gets a division or part in making the interface by implementing the REST API. The Interface with REST API can input data in the form of Handwriting images and displaying output of text on the computer. However, the lack of variation in data causes the output that is not in accordance with the input. Therefore, it is be expected to increase the variety of data and develop it more in mobile interface so that it can capture images directly with a mobile camera. Kata kunci: Deep Learning, Handwriting Recognition, Python, REST API, Web Service.
