Abstract

In the present era the development of information and communication technology is growing very rapidly. Humans as social beings cannot be separated from communication with others. This development is in line with the development of requests for integrated telecommunications and information services. Telecommunications and information in this era are not only in the form of voice, data and television services commonly referred to as triple play services. Currently, PT. Telkom Access Purwokerto as one of the BUMNs engaged in telecommunications that uses fiber optic cables. The purpose of this research is to analyze the transmission media, interface, bit rate, distance and path in GPON. The research method conducted in this study is interviews with informants, locations and based on books, journals and websites. Results that you can get by using GPON on one network platform. GPON (Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network) is a service that will be released by PT. Telkom Access Purwokerto for the next four years. GPON is a service where the technology uses fiber optic cable. With this GPON, in addition to increasing bandwidth capacity and speed of access, this technology also serves three services: voice, video and data in one device. done when the conclusions of the analysis and reconfiguration using GPON technology can include bandwidth demand and increase the number of users for triple play services.
