Abstract
Fiber optic or can be called referred to as fiber-optic communication system is a transmission line or can be called with a type of cables made of glass or plastic that is very smooth and smaller than a single hair, used to transmit light signals from one place to another. Development of optical fiber technology right now , it has been able to produce attenuation (attenuation) less than 20 decibels(DB)/km.-lane width (bandwidht) are great so the ability to transmit data into more and faster conmpared with use of convensional wires. for measuring and testing fiber optic used tools commonly referred to with OTDR(Optical Time Domain Reflector). This widely used measurement tool because it can measure various type of cable loss, determines the layout or a distance far Keyword :Fiber optic,Attenuation,Bandwidth, Optical Time Domain Reflector.
