Abstract

Teachers become one of the most important components that schools have in their efforts to improve education services. One of the efforts to improve the quality of schools is by measuring the performance of a teacher through a selection of exemplary teachers. The selection of exemplary teachers at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang Wetan determination for exemplary teacher candidates is still by pointing out the representative of the teacher so as to cause injustice among teachers and the absence of measurable criteria to determine the selection of model teachers. To avoid the subjectivity of the decisions produced, a decision support system (DSS) is needed which can help assess the teacher in deciding to become a model teacher. In this decision support system uses the SAW and WP methods with the concept of ranking from the Decision Support System. To find out the best method between SAW and WP methods, the comparison made in this study is based on running-time and validation. The comparative results of the two methods based on running time and measuring system validation can be concluded that the WP method is better than the SAW method with an average difference of 2 devices, 0.2851186 seconds and 0.4175652 seconds and the system validation test. 100%. The results are then implemented in the model of an exemplary teacher selection at MI Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang Wetan, where the WP method is created in the form of a system on the MATLAB platform. The results obtained that the WP method is the best method, then for the selection of exemplary teachers at MI Ma'Arif NU 1 Ajibarang Wetan which has the highest order, Muliyah with a value of 0.1442 and the WP method has an accuracy rate of 71.4%.
