Abstract

With the passage of time and increasingly advanced technological With the passage of time and increasingly advanced technological developments, affect human life. one example of an important need is the need for information, fast, and affordable also with good facilities. To be able to meet the necessary needs a flexible communication system has been implemented, namely a mobile communication system, known as GSM (Global System for Mobile). As a result of GSM technology that has many enthusiasts and has a large number of customers in Indonesia, GSM requires a station that can cover the number of customers in certain areas and without any disruption in the communication process and information transfer to the satisfaction of the customers who enjoy it. Therefore the right and best solution is to use Base Transceiver Station (BTS). There are several steps that must be taken to install the BTS in order to operate as it should. One of them is Commissioning, commissioning is the process of entering the required parameters into the BTS device. In BTS there are 3 main components, namely power, radio base station, radio transmission node. Power is part of the BTS that is used as the main power source on any device that requires electrical power. The Radio Base Station is the main part of the BTS which serves to connect one BTS to another BTS. In this field work practice report will be explained in detail several things that must be considered in the commissioning process.
