Abstract

At present the development of technology is very rapid, including in telecommunication worlds. Telecommunication service providers compete in providing quality network services to users. Starting from the 2G, 3G and 4G networks. The development of devices in telecommunications is usually found in RBS, Digital Units, Radio Units, Antennas, and also cables. Device updates can have an effect in terms of memory capacity in a BTS, data transmission rates on BTS, and others. The replacement of the DUW device to the baseband 5216 device itself has several effects. As in the use of space in RBS devices, the RBS device itself has limited space. Baseband 5216 itself has 3 ports that can be used by various types of networks, both 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. In the previous device, 1 network had 1 DU and RU device. Things that can be felt in the turn of the DUW to Baseband 5216 are where you can save space even though there are 3 network systems on one BTS. In addition, the quality of data transmission will be faster because it uses a fiber optic cable that has the speed of data transmission as fast as light. Keywords: Digital Unit (DU), DUW, Baseband, Fiber optic,Radio Unit.
