Abstract

Satellite communication that began in 1957 was the invention of telecommunications technology that used air media as its transmission line. Early in the development of satellites helped identify the density of the upper atmosphere by measuring changes in its orbit and providing data from the distribution of radio signals in the ionosphere. Satellite services are experiencing rapid development. In satellite communication services used for public services such as transactional services. This service usually uses VSAT IP technology or Very Small Aperture Terminal based on internet protocol. For VSAT IP services in the transactional field, ODU (Outdoor Unit) and IDU (Indoor Unit) are needed. On the outdoor unit an antenna, LNB, BUC, interconnection and cabling are needed. Indoor units require a modem. This service is commonly used by using the HX 50L Hudges type modem by using a C-Band frequency band because in a transmission or receiving information only a small data rate is needed. In antenna installation for transaction services, it is necessary to pay attention to the existing parameters. Keywords: VSAT IP, Transactional Services
