Abstract

The use of internet network has been an important role of our life. It becomes a major facility in offices, government institutions, schools, universities, even in open public spaces. PT Merapi Tech is one of agency used the internet as basic requirement for the media to exchange information between employees. Internet connection sharing or bandwidth management becomes the main issues faced by this institution. For example when one client downloads mainly using a download accelerator / download manager that might be able to spend bandwidth, because the bandwidth will be sucked into the client, so the other client will feel the connection is slow. This operating system was selected due to its queue tree feature. Some settings must be input into this operating system to run its tree queue feature as the internet bandwidth management. Research methods used include analysis methods (survey and interview system that runs directly on the user) and to optimize bandwidth management method to configure the proxy using the Queue Tree. The result of the research is the optimal management of available bandwidth so that the distribution of bandwidth can fit the needs of each employee.
