Abstract

Community needs for fast access services are increasing. This is caused by increasingly rapid technological developments. To get access to fast service, of course media access that has bandwidth is large enough so that the need for fast access can be fulfilled. Optical fiber is one of the transmission media that has large bandwidth and can overcome bandwidth problems experienced. In September 2018 PT Telkom Graha Merah Putih and PT Habluncitra persada collaborated in the implementation of the FTTH implementation project in the village of Tlahab Karangreja Purbalingga, for which the authors analyzed the performance of optical networks using the OptiSystem application. This research was analyzed for the FTTH STO Purbalingga network which is located at Jalan Kirana No.1 Purbalingga Lor, Tlahab Karangreja Purbalingga Village, entitled Bit Error Rate (BER), Q Factor and Receive Power analysis. FTTH networks that have installed GPON devices are 1 ODC, 7 ODP and 31 ONT with a total of 31 users. The parameters are calculated for the feasibility of the simulated permormance system on the OptySystem. For system performance parameters, namely BER, which is generated from the OptiSystem simulation, the BER downstream value is 9.87727e-009 and for the upstream is 1.11386e-174. VERY USEFUL TO APPROVE ANY, BECOME the minimum BER specified for optics ie 10-9. Q-factor system performance parameters in the downstream is 5.61365 and upstream is 28.1512, Q factor can be turned on according to both downstream and upstream standards. Indicates that values are above 6 in Q factors so that they can be precise. With the sensitivity of the ONT device of -23 dBm. Keywords: FTTH, BER (Bit Error Rate), Q-Factor, Opticystem, Autocad
