Abstract

Fiber optics have been used extensively for data communication, and developed rapidly since the invention of the laser beam in 1959. The optical fiber operating at a wavelength of 800-1600 nm and a transmission frequency of 10 GHz. So as to determine the effect of fiber optic cable in need of light intensity transmitted through fiber-optic lighting, and it can be measured by the intensity of laser light that has passed through an optical fiber by using a lux meter at a distance or range between 5-30 cm. Then, with both the data that has been owned for measuring the intensity of light. From the results of experiments that have been done from a short distance between the lux meter with light that has passed through the optical fiber, the greater the intensity the greater the distance between a lux meter with a light intensity of the optical fiber through which it will be smaller in intensity. The closer the distance that light has been skipped optical fiber the better conduction of light, on the contrary, the greater the distance the light has passed through the smaller the optical fiber is also charged.
