Abstract

Increased bandwidth needs are wide and high data transfer rates encourage the development of network based on optical Fiber To The Home service (FTTH) in the Cluster HBM Sorong. Design of a network of Fiber To The Home (FTTH) based Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) standard ITU-T network design process by using OptiSystem software then the calculation power of the link budget and rise time budget, and see network performance using Eye-diagram, Qfactor and Bit Error Rate (BER) methods. Based on the results obtained by calculation the value of link budget 12,057 dBm, power margin 10,943 dBm on downstream, upstream to the value obtained by link budget 12,016 dBm power margin, 6,984 dBm, rise time budget for downstream use 2.488 Gbps bit rate of 0.117 ns. Upstream uses 1.244 Gbps bit rate of 0.014ns, and bit error rate downstream of 5, 470x10-125 and upstream 6, 027x10-062. All parameters of measurement values that generate network FTTH standards based on ITU-T. Keyword : FTTH, Power Link Budget, Rise Time Budget, Bit Error Rate
