Abstract
The preparation of this field work practice report discusses the SOP of the ODU Comtech 50 Watts that is one of the modules on communication Vsat networks. The purpose is to determine whether the condition of the ODU is in good shape or not seen physically based conformity or between specifications and test data. To find out the results of checking needs to be done in advance, as for some equipment necessary i.e., spectrum analyzer, coupler, TIT, Power meters, Modems and Synthesized the CW Generator. The main purpose of this discussion is to compare between the results obtained from the manual and specifications on the device. The parameters that are used to perform the measurement and calculation of frequency is used, the coupler and specan. Based on manual book, ODU Comtech specifications 50 Watt is said to work well if the value gainnya i.e. > 74 dBm when value gain < 74 dBm then the ODU in the plight of the calculation result value gain min obtained i.e., at 5945 MHz frequency i.e. 77.1 dBm, 6445 MHz i.e. 75.02 dBm and dBm 6645 MHz i.e. 74.66, from the results it can be concluded that the condition that Comtech ODU in good condition due to the results obtained, namely > 74 dBm. However the value of the gain of each ODU is not necessarily the same depending on the specs of the ODU, in addition also affects the measurement tool the calibration results of checking. Key word: the ODU Comtech 50 Watt, Spectrum Analyzer, Coupler, TIT, Synthesized the CW Generator, Comtech ODU specifications 50 Watt.
