Abstract

Telecommunication is a very important field in the development factor today. The development of technology, especially in the field of telecommunications is very fast. As we know the current data transfer reaches 100 Mbps. To achieve such speeds required a very good and perfect signal service. An antenna is a device that acts as both the sender and receiver of the information signal. To get good service quality, antenna slope is required. This antenna setting is called tilting term. Planning tilting antenna is very important to avoid the wrong direction of antenna or bad sector. In this field practice report is tested and analyzed the antenna tilting BTS changes to the signal generator mobile station located at a distance that has been determined through the calculation. In this paper there is also a comparison between tilting in electrical and mechanical. Data retrieval is done by doing drive test by using TEMS software. From the test obtained tilting the electrical gives an even signal and the transmit distance is more close to the calculation than tilting mechanically. Results from the analysis conducted electrical From the results obtained obtained that changes in the angle of the antenna in each sector changed the value of rx level / level of signal quality produced to be better. In each sector, the service quality of the signal distribution reaches 0.5 km in each sector and the RxLevel service quality improvement in each of its secor.
