Abstract

The development of technology grows rapidly in human life such as controlling electronic devise from long distance by using internet media. One of applications of information and communication technology is the concept of Internet of Thing. Air conditioning and lamp operations that still use remote and switch are considered is developed not practical and energy wastage. Thus, the monitoring system using microcontroller Arduino mega 2560. This system works when there is schedule, movement and the temperature is below 27° C, and lux is below 50 lx, then air conditioner and lamp will be on. DHT11 detection is conducted in room and outside the room for 2 hours in the morning, afternoon and evening with the range of 10 minutes. For comparison of the result, it is used thermometer analog. BH1750 detection is conducted in the morning, afternoon and evening with the interval of 5 minutes with 7 samples. PIR detection is conducted by measuring distance and angle which are detected by PIR sensor. The distance is 30 cm with the angle is between 0°-180°. DHTII detection in the morning show average error 0,13756%, 0,080365% in the afternoon and 0,05212% in the evening. Sensor BH1750 detection show the maximum distance value is 4 meters when the angle is 90°. When the angle is 30°, 60°, 120°, and 150°, the maximum distance value is 3 meters. The testing of delay, troughput and packet loss were conducted three times. The delay was 298,5 ms in interval 3000 sec and The troughput was 2,478 bps in interval 1000 sec. Key Words: Internet of Things, Development of Technology, PIR, DHT11, BH1750, Internet, Arduino Mega 2560, Delay, Packet Loss, Troughput, Wireshark
