Abstract

Optical fiber has a role as a guide wavelengths fiber optics made from glass or silica with a very small size and lightweight micro in units of meters. Optical fibers can carry the signal information in large numbers and with loss-loss is relatively low. The structure of the fiber-optic cable itself consists of coating, the cladding and cores. Fiber optics has advantages in different aspects in terms of communication. Like, have a wide bandwidth, very low attenuation, transmit information with a high speed. Although with many advantages there are to it does not mean the fiber optic communication system (SKSO) has no problem. In the delivery of the data or information activities with high speed, fiber-optic communication systems is sometimes hampered by the existence of a mass disturbance or interference. Basically, this is the mass disturbances that are great are able to inhibit the performance of the optical fiber itself. Keyword: optical fiber, mass disturbances
