Abstract

In the development of information and communication technology is very rapid, especially in communication technology seen from users of communication technology more and more. Company PT. Media Telekomunikasi Mandiri is a telecommunication company and also one of the partners of Juniper Network. In practice field work on the company also apply MPLS technology which, is a method forwading data through a network by using the label added to the IP packet. MPLS technology is between layer 2 and layer 3 or called layer 2.5. MPLS-VPN can provide ease in expanding customer network because it has peer-to-peer relationship between router Provider Edge (PE) and Customer Edge (CE) router connected to the customer. Labeling process on the LSP can be affected by the operating system of the laptop or virtual machine being used, thus causing labeling at the time the packet arrives and the packet comes out the same.
