Abstract

The development of the world of technology is currently growing rapidly. Especially in the field of telecommunication. One of the technology used is technology Gheograpy Information System. GIS technology is used to facilitate mendaptkan data that has been processed and stored as an attribute of a location or objeck. GIS is also used by telecommunication companies engaged in the optimization of radio frekuesni in making drive test routes. The GIS application used is Mapinfo Pro15. This application provides spatial data (geographical location) so as to facilitate the drive test for data collecting. The files that must be provided before creating a drive test route are Gride-cell (G-cell) files and Borneo folder. When creating a drive route, the problem that arises is the drive route must be based on the coverage of each BTS sector. Each BTS sector has different coverage. What can be done is to pay attention to the reach of each BTS sector on a digital map. The ideal drive test route is no more than 2 km from the site.
