Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of telecommunication technology is very rapid with the human need for information. One of telecommunication technology that has been widely used today is Fiber Optic. Fiber Optic is a transmission medium that has the speed and magnitude of Bancdwidth. With this ability, Fiber Optic is able to bring a variety of information quickly. As for things that emit Fiber Optic transmission quality of core materials and damping. There are two types of damping that often found in PT. Huawei Services, ie Loss Bending and Splice Loss. To minimize the existing damping, PT. Fiber Optic Service Service. PT. Huawei Services performing Optical Fiber Maintenance procedures is routinely monitoring cable condition using OTDR, Physical Fiber Optic cable survey in and disconnected Fiber Optic cable. As for the Fiber Optic connection there is a missing procedure Splice Losses maximum of 0.03 dB. Key Word : Fiber Optic, Maintenance, Splice Losses, Bending Losses
