Abstract
In the satellite acquisition process required some integrated components such as antenna systems, receivers, processing and storage of data until data can be accessed by the user. Antenna is the main device in remote sensing satellite data reception and recording system. The quality of satellite data reception is influenced by several factors such as dish size, feed quality, LNA or connecting cable used. The need for an antenna system with satellites also has to be adjusted like polarization and frequency used. ES & S L Band antenna system for reception of NOAA data using RHCP Polarization with frequency range 1690 - 1710 MHz so that this antenna system can be used to receive NOAA satellite which have frequency 1698, 1707, and 1702.5 MHz. The ability of an antenna is also seen from the ability of the antenna drive motor to follow satellite movement based on the elevation angle and azimuth angle. Keywords: acquisition, ES & S L Band antenna characteristics, NOAA sate
