Abstract
Earth stations are telecommunication terminals located on the ground designed to communicate with spacecraft satellites. In this case the earth station in question is a remote sensing earth station that acts as a remote sensing receiver and satellite imagery. In the process of acquiring satellite image data on earth stations, greatly affect the results of data to be received. It relies heavily on the angle of elavation and azimuth present at the time of acquisition. The lowest elevation value of 5 degrees if below that value will not get the data because the angle obtained is very small then there is no process of sending and receiving data satellite images. The maximum elevation angle is strongly aware of the data acquisition process conducted at the Pekayon Earth station in Jakarta. The higher the elevation angle the better the image obtained but in the process of data acquisition requires a long duration compared with low elevation. Height of elevation angle in the process of acquisition or reception of NOAA satellite data greatly affect. The elevation angle is too high may result in termination of data reception.
