Abstract

Indoor network system is one of solution to tackle poor transmitted signal from eNodeB. Building with crowded traffic such as conference hall, school/campus, office, supermarket and airport need indoor network to keep the continuity of cellular communication and necessary of high bit rate by all of users. Therefore LTE femtocell network need to be designed. This research is designing LTE indoor network in ST3 Telkom building first and second floor based on COST 231-Multiwall Indoor propagation model using Radiowave Propagation Simulator (RPS). The parameters needed to design cellular indoor network are area width, the material of building, the number of user to know the number of Femtocell Access Point (FAP) needed in order for all of the room can be covered and get good signal. The result based on covered, with total area is 1482 m2 need 10 FAP. Design was using three scenario, the best scenario is scenario two because the FAP is laid in the middle of the room with received power is -63,91 dBm and the signal to interference (SIR) is 3,00 dB. There are 10 PCI according to FAP because no distribution of sector for every FAP. Keywords : Femtocell, LTE, Coverage, Signal to Interference Ratio (SIR), Radiowave Propagation Simulator ( RPS)
