Abstract

The rapid development of communications technology as long with number of communication media use without a cable in variety of equipment everyday life. Use infrared as transmission line is another alternative in the world of telecommunications. By exploiting infrared media as transmission and microcontroller as the control system than be made to a room temperature gauge. The design of this tool consist of blocks of transmitter as a signal sender and receiver blocks as the recipient in the form of temperature data. To send a signal through an infrared carrier frequency is needed as a carrier signal information. Large infrared frequency that are needed in order to achieve maximum distance is 38-40KHz. These carrier frequencies generated from IC NE555 and modulation system occurs in IC 4081. Use the remote control in room temperature meansurements would be easier for user to perform temperature meansurements from a considerable distance. At this time, the maximum distance between transmitter and receiver can be connect is about 50 cm. Keywords : microcontroller, infrared, remote control, IC NE555, IC 4081
