Abstract

BTS is to be one of contributing factor to the availability of good service then it should have a good performance too, but device that work scontinuously for 24 hours should have air-conditioned room so the device is not hot and cause error. Design and development tools in the temperature detector shield Base Transceiver Station(BTS) based Arduino is a tool that can back up if the AC in the base stations room so as to minimize damage on the BTS device. By using the LM35 temperature sensor is used to measure the temperature in the room, liquid crystal display (LCD 2x16) as viewer to detect value of temperature, a buzzer as alarm if the temperature exceeds normal limit, fan works to help cooling room and dispose the heat out so the temperature keep a normal condition, and the arduino as microcontroller that controls the input of the sensor and output from system. There are 3 conditions to be observed in this final project are the normal temperature of 25oC ≤ suhu < 32oC, standby temperature of 32oC ≤ suhu <40oC, and alert temperature of 40oC ≤ suhu ≤ 50oC. The working of temperature detector shield when the temperature is standby then buzzer will beep and 1 fan is spin while if the temperature is alert then buzzer will beep faster and 2 pieces of fan spin. keywords :LM35 Temperature Detector, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Arduino, Buzzer, Fan.
