Abstract

Human can’t be separated from technology, including the technology which relating to the working system of the microcontroller. It has grown in automation human tasks using microcontroller as a brain of system. In this paper the writer will explain how a measurement the water level in the tub will be more effective by using ultrasonic sensors. This system was made because the condition of the water source in an area is uncertainty, so that the availability of water require continuous monitoring. The condition of the water level recorded by ultrasonic sensors will provide the logic to arduino to open and close valves automatically. The results of scanning of the ultrasonic sensor are processed into the arduino and the modem will send it to the user via SMS. Scanning will be carried out continuously, but the information which is sent only the information that is in accordance with the specified parameters. Parameter distances was made in accordance with the height of the tub. The heigh of the tub in this system is 30 cm with volume 7,225 liter sothat every centimeters represent 0,24 liter water. These parameters are the minimum, maximum, and medium. This system can work well in accordance with the instructions that was given. Sending messages through SMS via modem wavecom in the minimum on 25cm and maximum parameter on 5cm will contain about the state of water availability, condition of solenoid valve, and the volume of water in tub. Medium condition on 15-20cm contains information about the volume of water and the state of water availability. For SMS using same operator it needed 18,6 second in busy traffic, and 10,4 second in unbusy traffic.
