Abstract
Technology information especially in telecommunication now days is one of people’s requirement. Technological development press for telecommunication to keep on moving forward in its quality. Because of that reason, the existing technology have to innovated to fulfill people’s requirement in telecommunication. Fiber optic network is a network in telecommunication which use fiber optic as media transmission. The application of fiber optic in telecommunication is used in Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network. Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network is designed in configuration 1:32, 1:4-1:8 and 1:2-1:16. configuration which effective in design Fiber To The Home (FTTH) network is configuration 1:4-1:8 because can applied in condition which the population crowded, medium, a little, concentrate and spread. Average of loss link budget configuration 1:32 with 144 homepass is 20,9 db. Average of loss link budget configuration 1:4-1:8 with 144 homepass is 21,22 db. Average of loss link budget configuration 1:2-1:16 with 144 homepass is 21,3 db. Every configuration in boundary which have 144 homepass have different requirement, especially distribution cable, ODP and drop cable. Configuration 1:32 need 3,42 km distribution cable, 22 ODP capacity 8 core and 7370 m drop cable. Configuration 1:4 and 1:8 need 1,672 km distribution cable, 22 ODP and 7293 m drop cable. Configuration 1:2 and 1:16 need 2,048 km distribution cable, 16 ODP and 8161,69 m drop cable. Key words: fiber optic, FTTH, loss link budget, BoQ
