Abstract

Now, Presence’s systems in college Akatel Purwokerto still uses button system by fill the student number on tablet which is given by lecturers or lecture call student number of one by one. Those Current traditional methods sometimes be a lecture problem because the students will be focused on this system on lecture’s calling and on waiting the absent. The use of RFID ACR120U for Presence can be applicable using the presence card in formed a tag RFID. RFID is the identification system which have an easily application technology to use and suitable for automatic operation. RFID combines the advantages that are not available to other identification technologies. RFID uses radio frequencies to read information from a tag or transponder (Transmitter + Responder). RFID’s tags will recognize when it detects a signal from a compatible device which is RFID reader. The designing systems of engineering student’s presence use waterfall method. This application is designed for 3 levels user such as: admin, faculty, and students. Tables were produced in this system is 4 tables. The design of this operating system uses a program Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access as the database. This presence system uses 4 stages of testing including unit testing, integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing. Keywords: Presence System, and RFID ACR120U.
