Abstract

Human need for telecommunication technologies continue to increase along with the number of activities in daily life. Telecommunication technologies will be needed when the communication is a considerable distance apart beetwen the two (transmitter - receiver). Walkie talkie is one of the means of communication were deemed effective enough to solve this problem. Besides the price is quite cheap, it can be used for free and any unauthorized use of the frequency. Walkie talkie is a hand-held two-way communication device that can communicate with two or more people, which use radio waves as the transmission medium. Walkie talkie is a comunnication tool that uses the tech half duplex in interaction. Half duplex is a two-way communication medium alternately between the sender and the recipient. Walkie talkie can interact between users walkie talkies and wearing only frequencies between 30-300 MHz are classified into the type of very high frequency or very hight frequency (VHF). This is based on measurement using a walkie talkie different frequencies from one another, is 104.3 MHz and 97.1 MHz. By adding a megaphone technology (loudspeakers) in these tools, will be adding functionality and effectiveness of walkie talkie it self. Megaphone is one of the communication tools that are analog point-to-multipoint (one source to multiple recipients).
