Abstract

Student attendance is one of the important roles in the teaching and learning activities. Attendance is an information about how to discipline students in following the teaching and learning activities. Akatel student attendance application using finger print client server based on this final project is expected to facilitate the management of student attendance in the following teaching and learning activities, can reduce the level of fraud in manipulating student attendance data at the time of follow learning and teaching. The method used in the design and construction of student attendance is by using the waterfall method. Student attendance application testing using finger print-based client server using several stages of testing the integration testing and system testing. Using the concept of client server using TCP / IP to connect to the database that is in admin with the operator. The use of student attendance application uses 3 user leveling the admin, operator (lecturers) and students. Designing and manufacturing applications using the finger print attendance student with a Microsoft Access database for data storage - student attendance data, and manufacturing applications using Visual Basic 6.0. Key Word : Student Absence, Finger print, Client Server, Microsoft Access and Visual Basic 6.0
