Abstract

Zinda private tutoring is a non-formal educational institution that provides additional educational services for kindergarten to high school students. However, the data management process still uses Microsoft Excel which results in difficulties in managing data which can slow down the input process and is prone to errors. The utilization of information technology can help overcome this problem. The use of a web-based tutoring information system can increase efficiency in data management and improve the quality of the input process. However, Zinda private tutoring center still faces obstacles in this regard. Therefore, this research aims to design and develop a tutoring information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. This research will focus on the development of back-end components, as well as MySQL database management and using the laravel framework, PHP programming language. Then, testing the functionality using black box testing. Blacbox testing results show that the designed website functions properly as expected by Bimbel Privat Zinda.
