Abstract

In the modern era, information media such as websites can be used to manage churches. Besides disseminating information, websites can also help manage various church administrative activities. The GKI Sul-Sel congregation in Tigaraksa still uses manual methods for communication and administration, causing inefficiencies in form handling and data storage, leading to data loss. This research aims to build a church information system based on a website to help the congregation access worship schedules, officer schedules, and handle church administration more efficiently. The study uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, suitable for projects requiring flexibility, responsiveness to changes, and active user involvement. The research involves problem identification, literature review, data collection through observation and interviews, data processing, and system design using RAD stages: Requirement Planning, Design Workshop RAD, and Implementation. Blackbox testing results show all website features work well. System Usability Scale (SUS) testing with 30 respondents yielded a score of 80.75, categorized as acceptable with a B rating (good). Data analysis indicates a 29.2% increase in information and administration efficiency. Previously, the efficiency rate was 59%, but after implementing the web-based information system, it rose to 88.2%. This proves that the web-based church information system significantly improves information and administration efficiency.
