Abstract
ABSTRACT As telecommunication technology evolves, long term evolution (LTE) comes with high access speeds to provide solutions to the increasing need for a limited frequency spectrum. Utilization of the frequency spectrum is growing very rapidly and the need for a wide spectrum of frequencies for new technologies is increasing. Migration from analogue broadcasting to digital broadcasting as a means of utilizing radio frequency spectrum. Digital Dividend is an allocation of residual frequency of unused migration enabling the most effective broadband development, particularly to reach sub-urban areas. In this thesis research is done techno economic analysis of LTE technology deployment in Banyumas Regency as consideration in planning for operators who will build LTE network. The design of the network based approach (coverage coverage) and simulate the planning results at a frequency of 700 MHz and existing using Atoll software. Atoll simulation results at 700 MHz frequency obtained RSRP value of -52.09 dBm, SINR of 3.75 dB and throughput of 11,699 kbps, while the existing values obtained RSRP -83.19 dBm, SINR of 6.68 dB and throughput of 14.11 kbps. To analyze economically using the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method of measuring the feasibility of the costs incurred for the implementation of LTE by efficiently utilizing sprectrum frequency. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of LTE network at 700 MHz frequency using 15 MHz bandwidth from economic calculation yields results that are not feasible to implement because the NPV value obtained <0. Retrieved negative NPV value of Rp. -445.394.029 and IRR of -58%. Keywords: LTE, techno economy, coverage planning, 700 MHz, NPV, IRR
