Abstract

Current technological developments require innovation in the tourism sector, one of which is the Curug Pletuk tourist attraction. Curug Pletuk is a waterfall tourism objects managed by the Curug Pletuk Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). Based on interviews with the manager, the number of visitors from March to May 2023 amounted to 6,964 visitors and the management of Curug Pletuk still uses a manual system by recording in a ledger. The obstacles that arise are the slow process of data recapitulation and limited promotional reach, as well as ticket purchases that can only be made directly at the location. Website development of Curug Pletuk tourist attraction information system is divided into two, namely frontend and backend. This research focuses on the backend. The obstacle that exists when divided into frontend and backend is that data security is needed in the data exchange. The purpose of this research is to develop a REST API on a website-based Curug Pletuk tourist attraction information system that plays a role in facilitating the ticket booking process and maintaining data security. This research applies the Scrum development method, which has advantages in flexibility related to changes and priorities in software development. The results of the application of the REST API to the Curug Pletuk information system website will be tested using the Black box and Speed test REST API with each feature running well.
