Abstract

Infrastructure that facilitates all segments of society and educational institutions is needed in the current era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, in order to enhance the productivity of educational institutions in their operational processes. The traditional registration of new students at Al-Fath Kindergarten has several drawbacks, these include the repetitive visits of parents of prospective new students to the school during the registration process. The information provided by Al-Fath Kindergarten regarding the registration is repeated multiple times. The files of new prospective students pile up and are poorly organized, making it difficult for Al-Fath Kindergarten to consolidate the data of new prospective students. Additionally, the disorganized registration files increase the possibility of losing documents or data of new prospective students who have registered, which is highly disadvantageous for them. Therefore, a supporting system needs to be developed to assist Al-Fath Kindergarten and the parents of new prospective students, in the form of a Web-Based New Student Admission Information System. This system will be built using the Agile Development method because it can quickly adapt to any form of changes. The Web-Based New Student Admission Information System is limited to being an information and registration center for new prospective students, and it is only accessible to parents and the administration of Al-Fath Kindergarten. This system is developed based on data obtained from observations, discussions, and question-andanswer sessions with relevant parties. Additionally, a literature study was conducted, referring to seven national journals and three international journals to support this research. The web-based information system is designed and developed using the Laravel framework. This research includes black box testing and final testing by users in the acceptance of the information system, using User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The design of this information system aims to optimize the existing business processes at Al-Fath Kindergarten by designing and developing a web-based new student admission information system using the Agile method. This will facilitate various parties, including Al-Fath Kindergarten and parents of new prospective students, in the school registration process.
