Abstract

One of the contributing factors to the high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is the preventable "4T" factor, which emphasizes the significance of contraception. However, over the last three years, a decrease in active participants within Indonesia's Family Planning (FP) program has been observed, reflecting the challenge of managing rapid population growth. Despite the demand for FP services, many individuals remain underserved. This issue is attributed to suboptimal FP counseling. To address this, an innovative Android-based mobile application was developed to enhance the effectiveness of midwives in delivering FP counseling programs. The application's development utilized the Kanban method, integrating a pre-defined backlog from data collection to ensure alignment with requirements. This approach visually represents work stages, aiding monitoring and identifying completed tasks and workflow bottlenecks. The application was implemented using the Flutter framework and Dart programming language. Overall, the research concludes that the application's development successfully met functional goals, evidenced by blackbox testing on 55 respondents, and the Kanban method's effective visualization of work stages contributed to a reduction in workflow hindrances.
