Abstract

Education is one of the many important roles that affect the quality of a nation. To advance education, something is needed that can manage data such as student academic details, curriculum, or grades. With the help of technology, all these things can be achieved. The development of technology makes various kinds of work lighter and more efficient, without exception in the education sector. This sector is one of the sectors that is positively affected by the rapid development of technology. Including Bunyan Indonesia School as one of the institutions that play a role in the realm of education. Bunyan Indonesia School is an educational institution that uses a boarding school system at certain educational levels. Using a boarding school system means that students are required to live in a dormitory and away from their families including parents for a certain period of time. Unfortunately, until the time this research was made, SBI did not have a facility where parents could efficiently monitor their children's progress and learning status while away from home. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of creating and developing a student academic information system as a solution to the problem. The process of creating and developing a website carried out in this study uses the prototype method for 2 iterations. It can be seen at the end of the research, precisely the results and conclusions section, the academic information system that has been made successfully meets the needs of homeroom teachers and parents based on the test results.
