Abstract
ABSTRACT Interface X2 is a protocol interface that can connect one metro network segment with another metro. The interface function of X2 as the path forwarding process as the same direct metro liaison without any termination of communications. Using interfac X2 on the metro simplifies and speeds up the data transmission process. Interface X2 works if one of its metro connections is disconnected then the others will still be able to run. Thus the use of metro networks using the X2 interface plays an important role to improve communication services at high speed. In this research will be analyzed about parameters of Qos latency and throughput used in metro network to know performance result of metro network in PT.Telkom Indonesia. From the research conducted obtained the results with the aim of this study analyze the performance performance of Metro Ciawi network using interface X2. This study analyzed the effect of using X2 interface using Qos parameter that is latency and throughput using connection test from Ciawi metro toward Bogor metro, metro Cisarua, metro TB.Simatupang and metro Jagakarsa with each data size 5000 bytes, 10000 bytes and 15000 bytes. The result of testing done at Telkom Indonesia area Jakarta on metia network of ciawi, got the smallest latency value that is connection test from Ciawi metro to metro Cisarua. The value of throughput is the largest increase in Metro Bogor because there are additional X2 interface pathways that affect data transmission. By using the X2 interface the results obtained provide services in better speed, thus maximizing the performance of data exchange between metro networks. Keywords: Interface X2, Metro, Latency and Throughput.
