Abstract

Information technology is currently widely used in various fields, including education. In an educational institution/institution, an information system is very important to be used to regulate every activity carried out by the agency/institution quickly, effectively, efficiently, and accurately, so as to improve the quality standards of education in the institution/institution. The application in the process of leave application activities carried out by employees and teachers at Mts AtTarbiyyah schools still uses conventional methods. Staff, employees and teachers who will apply for leave letters are required to submit the application in writing using a paper form for leave application. The application of the process in a conventional way still has several shortcomings including not being efficient in terms of time, requiring a long time because it has not been computerized in the process of applying for leave and less effective in the process of its activities, due to the large amount of paper used which causes difficulties in controlling the approval of leave applications and if the applicant and approver are not at the location of the workplace then the application for leave cannot be Done. Therefore, an information system is needed to streamline the process of applying for leave and make the process of these activities more effective. So the solution proposed by researchers in overcoming this problem is to build an application for employee and teacher leave applications on the website-based Mts At-Tarbiyah by using the laravel framework and mysql database for data storage. The methods used in the research process are interviews, observations, and literature studies. As for the process of designing and developing systems using the prototype method. The result of this research is a design and development of an information system that can help employees and teachers at Mts At-Tarbiyah in managing leave application information that can provide speed, accuracy and accuracy of information received.
