Abstract

This study designed a tool that can carry out monitoring maintenance on hydroponic plants that can be connected to an internet connection. Hydroponics is a system of cultivating plants without using soil as a growing medium for plants. Provision of nutrients is needed for hydroponic cultivation of plants, essential nutrients both macro and micro. The use of measuring instruments that are still manual takes time during the measurement process, to facilitate the process requires technological assistance. One of the planting methods uses the principle of NFT (Nutrient Film Technic) with a monitoring system which is a solution for agriculture in narrow land. The goal is to help monito conditions in pH, turbidity, and temperature in plant nutrient water. This system uses NodeMCU as a microcontroller, a pH sensor to measure acidity, a TDS sensor to measure the concentration of nutrient liquids, and a Ds18B20 sensor to measure temperature and humidity around hydroponic plants. In this study using the HTTP communication protocol which will be connected to the Antares platform to be able to monitor the results of the data that has been obtained. The reading results from the pH sensor on the planting medium are divided into two, the first is worth 4 which is an acidic condition getting an average of 0.7%, the second is worth 7 which is a neutral condition getting an average of 0.3%. On the temperature sensor readings to the planting medium are divided into three, the first is measured at a temperature of 25 ℃, 26 ℃ and 27 ℃ with accuracy results of 99.10%, 99.08% and 99.22% respectively, On the TDS sensor reading with a value of 31.44NTU. Keywords: Hidroponics, Ds18B20, TDS Sensors, NodeMCU, pH Sensors, and Antares platform
